RAW PASSION – 100% organic, vegan and ethical skin food handmade in Sussex
Sexy Skin never goes out of fashion!
It always impresses me when a brand has come so far on sheer hard work and determination. Viola is the Owner and Creator of this brand, the first reply to my initial e-mail was one of the nicest I have read! her passion for what she does shines through.
We do a lot of Subscription Box Reviews; but we also review the products that go into the boxes. I am keen to expand this side of my writing even more lately with the upcoming launch of the BoXession Box in spring 2018. In short; I am eager to find the brands that aren’t as well known as the high street names, and let you all know about the ones I love with a view to including some in my future box curations.
Viola was kind enough to send me a jar of the Heavenly Hemp Skin Oil, 15ml which retails at £7 on the RAW PASSION Website http://www.rawpassion.co.uk
It arrived via Royal Mail, the jar was cutely wrapped in a bag with a green straw bow. The card included tells you all about the different Skin Oils they do:
- Luscious Lavender – Coconut Oil, Cacao Butter, Essential Oil of Lavender, Rose & Geranium.
- Inky Pinky – Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Cacao Butter, Essential Oil of Rose, Geranium & Lavender.
- Heavenly Hemp – Shea Butter, Oil of: Hemp, Avocado & Olive Oil. Essential Oil of Citronella, Lavender, Orange, & Sweet Mandarin.
- Spicy Muscle Rub – Hemp Oil, Cacao Butter, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Cayenne Pepper, Ginger, Essential Oil of Peppermint & Black Pepper.
All of the above come in 3 sizes:
- Small 15ml Jar – £7
- Medium 30ml Jar – £11
- Large 60ml Jar – £18
The first thing I noticed when opening the Jar was the smell. You can definitely smell the citronella and mandarin. The card states that all of their products are fit for human consumption! Well I won’t lie; I always want to taste things when they smell that good, but I refrained… maybe later.
I have naturally long nails so I couldn’t put my finger into the pot, but this is something I am used to, so I have an array of mini brushes that I use for items like this.
I cleansed as usual, then I scooped a little out with my brush and dabbed in several areas of my face. I then used my fingers to rub into my skin in a circular motion. I put a little extra onto my troubled dry skin areas; especially at this time of year my T zone takes a battering from the cold. My eyebrows are microbladed too so they get dry very quickly.
I went downstairs and the fire was on full; I realised that my face was going extra warm, I actually liked it but I moved away as the guidance leaflet says it is a heat sensitive product. At first it was quite an oily feel on my skin, but after an hour it had seeped in and the oiliness had subsided.
I have now been using this product all week, twice a day. I am absolutely besotted with it. My skin feels amazing, soft, renewed. When I wake up the only way to describe how soft it feels is a baby’s bottom. My eyebrow hair is extra soft and smooth, what hair there is doesn’t need taming into place now! I Just saved myself money there on more brow setting gel!
I will genuinely be buying more of this. I know Viola mentioned that this was one of their first and most popular products when she sent it to me. Now I know why. That little £7 jar is going to go a long way. I have also been using it as a lip balm too as it is a multi use so can be applied anywhere.
I know I haven’t been exclusively cruelty free, and that I am conscious of trying all of the alternatives out there. I also love the idea of supporting businesses that live and breathe what they do. I know how it feels to be passionate about what you do; you want to share it with the world. I look forward to a future partnership with Viola for the BoXession Box, and ladies, this is a MUST buy!
