Nectar & Bumble Box Review by Mel – May 2018

A new box in the world of Subscription Boxes always excites me, but one which is Bee themed was always going to be a winner for me! Amber who is the founder of Nectar & Bumble has just branched out into the Sub box world. Nectar & Bumble already have a very sleek and successful Website, which you can see here: http://www.nectarandbumble.co.uk

I have to say, I have scoured the website a few times now, and have found myself hoping for items to be included in future boxes already. The Bee cushion I adore especially, and the skincare items would always go down well as most of you know I am a skincare addict.

I am very grateful that Amber kindly allowed me to review this box, as the shipping date did clash with my recent holiday to Greece. Here at BoXession we have a team of Bloggers, but this box could have been designed for me so I requested that I reviewed it personally and she was very understanding. A clear sign of excellent customer service right there.

It landed via Royal Mail while I was away, however I had a neighbour intercepting my parcels so it was waiting for me on my Dining Room table the second I got through the door at 3am Friday morning. I was literally buzzing to unbox it, but waited until Friday evening to go live on the BoXession group as that is one of our busiest times once everyone has sat down to relax after a week of work.

If you missed my live unboxing, fear not as it is now also on our YouTube Channel, just click play below…

You will receive 4-5 hand selected Bee themed items in your box. These could be stationery, sweet treats, jewellery, candles, skincare and more!

The cost is just £20 per month (£18 for your first month using the code ‘BOXESSION’) plus £2.95 P&P.

10% of their profits are donated to charities in the UK to save the Bees!

Bee Lippy Peaches & Cream Lip Balm

This is absolutely scrumptious. I have always preferred the little tin lip balms, I have quite the collection as I tend to leave them everywhere so I am never without one. It smells good enough to eat, and being made from Beeswax it is very nourishing.

It is also 100% organics, and Cruelty Free, a massive thing for me at the moment.

Bespoke of Devon Beehive Candle

This is so cute! I cannot even bear to burn it. I am keeping it for now to display, one day I may light it but for now just looking at it makes me smile.

Exclusive Foxleaf Bee Ring Dish

You cannot buy this on the Nectar & Bumble Website, it is an exclusive which was made especially for the subscription boxes I believe. You could use this for rings, earrings or even coins. It is hand painted and just adorable. I have been laying my watch over it at bed time just because it matches. I am unsure of the RRP on this due to its exclusivity to the box.

Annie Dornan Smith British Bumblebee Enamel Pin

I love pins, I have a few now. I am really pleased to add this to my collection as it goes perfectly with my Olivia Burton 3D Bee Watch. The quality of this is beautiful, shiny gold and black enamel detail makes it really stand out.

Mighty Fine Chocolate Honeycomb Dips

I always want to eat things like this when I am opening the box live. I stop myself knowing that I have to take photos of them for the review.

What can I say… these are mouthwateringly yum! They did not get re sealed, we ate the lot! They are chewy too, I need to buy some more. They need to come with a warning that you will eat the entire bag, ha!

Honey & Bumble A4 Print

I spoke in the live how things like these have multi purpose. I thought about using it just for my close up photos on reviews. But after looking at it framed on the website I am now going to pop and buy a white A4 photo frame. It makes it look so classy and I am sure I will find somewhere for it to be pride of place.

My Verdict?

This box really has its identity, and is a must buy for any Bee lovers. Imagine getting this as a gift if you did! The products are really high quality, either handmade, artisan or from small retailers; which means you are also supporting each and every brand in the box.

The value of the box exceeds what you pay, the attention to detail down to how items are individually wrapped is just beautiful. It really feels like you are getting a treat.

I will be eagerly watching to see what the June box contains, I am really hoping for that cushion, can you tell? Be sure to check out their website for an idea of the type of products you may receive too.

This box is one I would more than happily receive again, I genuinely hope they continue. The links are below to all of their Social Media, and the website link takes you directly to the subscribe page.

Thank you again to Nectar & Bumble, and for our friendly Bees of course!
