Posh Brats Review by Mel

I have been the look out for some time now to find a Company who makes Hand Made and Natural Bath Products. I am aware that as a group we all love these things, and we also love a bargain. Sometimes the usual High Street brands can become repetitive and a little on the expensive side. I am a mum of 2 boys, relaxation time is ESSENTIAL. So the difference between a £4 Bath Bomb and a £2 one means simply more treats!
Naturally the first thing I wanted to do before working with any new brand was to ensure that the product quality was up to standard. I am sure you are all aware of my addiction by now and no I cannot show you all my hoard for fear of being carted off for some professional help haha. So when the ever so lovely Brittany sent me a parcel FULL to the brim of their goodies I was overwhelmed.
There were so many treats in the box that I decided I couldn’t possibly keep them all to myself … so I enlisted a willing volunteer, our Katie. I halved the package and sent them off to her in the post so that we could get to work testing them out to give you all two reviews packed with knowledge, Katie’s review will be published separately.
My half of the Parcel contained:

  • Rhubarb & Custard Fizzy Bath Bomb – £2
  • Candy Apple Margarita Fizzy Bath Bomb – £2
  • Kisses of Honey Fizzy Bath Bomb – £2
  • Berry Brûlée Bubble Bath Scoop – £2
  • Three Wishes Mermaid Bubbles Sea Foam Bath Potion – £3.50
  • Serenity Aromatherapy Body Butter Travel Size 20ml – £2.50
  • Grandma’s Old Fashioned Goats Milk Handmade Soap (Unscented) – £3
  • Wild Magnolia & Geranium Skin Tightening Facial Gel Serum Travel Size 15ml – £8

What I Tried?
Rhubarb & Custard Fizzy Bath Bomb
I knew I would use this item first as I LOVE Rhubarb & Custard. I did not realise until I put it in the bath that it has a sweet on the top, a real sweetie! I did lick it a few times, I am not going to lie to you. I was impressed that the while it fizzed really fast you could smell the scent coming off it straight away. The water was that pink I tried a bit to see if I could taste it hahahaha. I am a bit of a big kid at times. The price of these at £2 each are just a steal (£1.70 each with our exclusive discount at the bottom). I will definitely be using more of these, no doubt about that. I have spotted some on the website already that I want … Candy Floss, Cola Cubes, and Parma Violet are top of my wish list!
Three Wishes Mermaid Bubbles Sea Foam Bath Potion
I have never tried this before, I have used Bubble Bath but not powdered so it seemed the right thing to try this out. I loved the whole Mermaid theme. I love Ariel and I will not deny it. I had to read the instructions a few times to make sure I was doing it properly and there wasn’t going to be a bubble explosion in my Bathroom. I poured approximately 1/4 of the bag into the water just next to the flow coming from the tap. It bubbled up instantly, much faster than the liquid type. That shocked me a bit at how fast it was. I did add a little more for good measure as I wanted to see the magic again. I did say I was a bit of a child with these things, it is supposed to be fun after all. I have enough left in this now to have another 3 Baths out of it. This is £3.50 a bag.
Grandma’s Old Fashioned Goats Milk Handmade Soap (Unscented)
I am secretly (ok not a secret) very impressed by this. I looked it up on their website and they use organic Goats Milk and Honey sourced from Cheshire Farms in the UK. That always puts a smile on my face. I support local where I can, and living in the lakes it’s fairly easy for me to get farm produce but not on this level. I used this on my entire body and its lovely. I never usually use soap as I find it quite drying, but this isn’t at all. I would buy this again and quite happily use it on my boys too.
Serenity Aromatherapy Body Butter
I won’t lie, I like to be honest in my reviews. I don’t usually use a lot of body butter. But I am one of these people where if you don’t try it then you will never know. So I tried this after a Bath only on my arms. It was nice and thick and you could smell the oils in it, but it is not something I would personally buy again. The product is lovely I just don’t find the time to use items like these as my lifestyle is a little hectic most days!
Wild Magnolia & Geranium Skin Tightening Facial Gel Serum
I tried this not expecting anything spectacular from it, this was the item I am most impressed by. I love a pump bottle due to my long nails. I loved the clean and sleek design. This is part of their Brittany Shai Signature Privee Collection. You can also get a Facial Primer and a Body Butter in this range. It leaves no residue after using it which is a huge plus for me, I cannot stand the feeling of sticky or layers on my skin. The smell is definitely floral, but that did not put me off as it’s not overpowering. Does it tighten? well I don’t have wrinkles at all I am fairly lucky so I cannot answer that in honesty but I will continue to use it. I can fit this one in my handbag too which is ideal for out and about.
I am excited to try more of their products, the range is very extensive. Here are a few more items they do:

  • Shampoo & Conditioner Bars
  • Bath Salts
  • Sugar Scrubs
  • Aromatherapy and Massage Oils
  • Eye Creams
  • Aloe Vera Gel
  • Cream Cleansers
  • Exfoliators
  • Shower Steamers

And Many more…
